Love him or hate him, Trump's departure (assuming he doesn't come back) means both parties get to go back to only pretending to hate the other while they both suckle on the plump teet of big special interest groups. If Bernie or Trump stick around then maybe they'll be able to generate enough public outrage over the special protection tech companies get but I don't think that will happen any time soon.

I believe that if section 230 does get removed then it will mostly affect the social media companies, not places like Amazon, Apple, or Microsoft. The reaction will be very quick from investors though, so there likely won't be a ton of opportunity to profit from the demise of TWTR, GOOG, and FB stock but maybe there will be room to buy in at the depressed low caused by over reaction from the street.
