When you come to understand why Bitcoin remains king despite being worse than hundreds of shitcoins and forks from a technology point of view, you'll also understand why Litecoin will always be the king altcoin despite it doing nothing particularly innovative itself.

It's all about name recognition, availability, and branding. When the whales diversify, the first two coins they go into are ETH and LTC. But ETH has an infinite supply and ICO's constantly dumping so I'm not as bullish long-term on it.
