Some stuff i've learned over the years:

If you like wearing name brands check ebay by sorting to auctions only and sort again by ending soonest. Bid on nice brands to what you are willing to pay. Other thing i used to do is check local thrift stores and figure out when they restock and go in right after they restock. Check the thrift stores closest to the wealthier neighborhoods. *sidenote: you can use this to find cheap name brands and post them on ebay for a profit.

When signing up for internet or tv or any other subscription based service call to cancel after your first month and you will more than likely get some sort of discount to stay on board. Just make sure you call them. You are way more likely to get insane discounts this way.

Another one that is expensive but worked for me and a buddy all the time was: we went to a bar at the start of the night everytime we went out and found a specific female bartender and tipped her very generously the first couple of times and made small talk with her. After 2-3 times of doing this consistently she caught on to what we drank and would always have it ready when she noticed we came in and wouldn't charge us for the majority of our drinks for the night. Between the 2 of us we probably gave her 200-300 dollars but we went out and drank heavy for 3-4 months. Which is pennies compared to what we would have spent.

If you need a laptop don't buy new.

Businesses buy shit loads of god tier business class laptops (Thinkpad X and T series) and then sell em all off after a couple years.

This causes a glut of high tier used lappies on the market. You can get upgraded 2014ish era laptops that were worth $2k or more on ebay for 300 or less. They function as well or better than a laptop you could buy new for 1200.

Just make sure it has upgraded processor and an SSD installed.
