The result of the election is unknown at the date of resolution. However, thanks to the magic of using human subjectivity rather than machine decision making, we can say that Biden has won the election by changing the meaning of the word "election" to mean "electoral college votes won" rather than "the electoral process from start to finish as outlined in the constitution". Even when the question was flawed, Kleros can provide the right answer.

Working as intended and extremely bullish imo. I'll take those bags if you don't want them.

The system is flawed. People are scared to vote the truth in fear they will lose their stake. So they go with the popular media friendly choice. Its shit. Seriously who wants to serve on a Jury where actually lose money?

>popular media friendly choice
the only people arguing for "invalid" in the telegram, like Sergey Nazarov and TheChainlinker, have both taken out large bets on "No", and wrote essays saying Biden stole the election and Trump will win with the help of Q.

This was a very clear cut case and anybody who seriously thinks otherwise has drunk the koolaid. Yes, the question was flawed. Yes, the resolution date should have been January 7. But it wasn't, and Kleros can fix that without breaking the smart contract by approximating the most likely outcome, which is "Yes". This is very bullish. There will be broken contracts and poorly written questions requiring subjective answers in the future, and Kleros can help in these scenarios.

>very clear cut case
>can never explain why
Nobody is talking about Q in the telegram. Fuck off

>> No.25236397

>>25235910
I explained why. The real question at hand is "now that the smart contract has fucked up by resolving too early, what should the outcome be?"
>should we pay out people who bet on biden, because Biden is almost guaranteed to win?
>should we pay out people who bet on Trump and appealed the question, pointing out it was technically invalid, to make money?
This is the first real 'attack' on Kleros - groups of people with hundreds of ETH trying to use technicalities to win money for themselves. But Kleros isn't and shouldn't be about technicalities, it should be about the spirit of the dispute. And like with the Doge trials, Kleros has passed this test, but there will be many more people trying to game cases to make themselves money. But if you don't see why a Yes resolution is bullish, then you're not seeing the bigger picture.

TLDR: Yes, the question is invalid. No, it should not be ruled as invalid, because that creates a perverse outcome.

that's the whole point of the game theory behind Kleros, you're not supposed to vote the way you personally think, you're supposed to vote the way you think others will vote, so the jury converges at a consensus that is acceptable to most people
