why is btc so slow. i've been waiting 20 minutes and it's only 2 confirmations. fuck.

>> No.25228449

because you're sending a transaction on the most secure computer network ever created. have some respect

>> No.25228478

Because BTC sucks and doesn't scale, get used to it. Or else just use BSV, which is better by any metric.

>> No.25228488

Because it's a basic design that requires basically the whole world to acknowledge every single transaction before it's accepted.

Bitcoin newfag here: Wouldn't this be a potential business issue? Wouldn't people have to wait a long ass time to make a transaction for say, groceries or something?

BTC could have been much better than what it is today if satoshi and the core dev cucks hadn't sold out for the almighty fiat dollar

>> No.25230515

>>25230068
You're right, and most corecucks fail to see this. Bitcoin will never be a proper currency, no real demand, price is just grounded in speculation, no fundamental demand.

The second you mention any problems with BTC, they attack you religiously.

you only need to wait for confirmations for large transactions. Before a transaction is confirmed it is similar to when a charge shows up as "pending" on your credit card statement for a few days. So even in that regard it is still faster than traditional payment systems.

BTC does need to get rid of the 1 MB though in my opinion. Confirmation times aren't a problem but transaction fees are

>> No.25231931

Guys do not sell your BTC or leave it on an exchange, this is your ticket to financial freedom, something you can transport to any country and utilise, do not lose it like thousands of poor fucks before you. You bought at a smart time the stimulus checks mean a 2nd pump, wont match yesterday but you should see some gains.

worst part is that they think the " LIGHTNING™ " network made by Blockstream (banker funded) will solve everything,

but ironically Lightning Network fees do not go to core miners and with each block halving miners will have to rely more on transaction fees
which is ironic because Bitcoin Core (controlled by Blockstream) is against raising raising the TPS. It doesnt take much IQ to see how the bankers are trying to kill Layer 1 Bitcoin and force everyone to move to their network.

And yes i do hold kleros, and yes its true,,
Eth/Link whales all help pump BTC to drive """Their""" focus away from the other coins.

>> No.25232168

>>25231808
Until those transaction fees and confirmation times are dealt with, it won't be technically ready to be a widely-adopted coin.

>>25231931
I agree that there will be a pump at that time, but it will be hard to gauge how hard it will pump. Around 15% of Americans hold crypto, so there's that to look forward to.

if one of the 10k nonhashing nodes dont acknowledge it, what happens?
there are 4 pools that have over 50% hash rate. they are the only nodes that have to agree on things.
