Had I just been patient with my most favorite choices all in on any one of them as that's how I like to do it, of the top 5 I'd be up approx.:

Yes, when I first started out like 5 years ago, but I was smart enough to realize that I will most likely lose my entire portfolio since I'm new so I pulled most of it out and played with a tiny amount until I as predicted.. lost it all. I lost three "portfolios" in total (roughly $1-2k in each) before I learned what the hell I was doing. I think it was my second portfolio that I casually went from $1k with to ~$5.6k, but one day I woke up and realized that I had lost it all in like 2 months without withdrawing a single cent.
But that's why you start small with money you can afford to lose and just keep on learning, eventually you will be the tiny percentage of people that didn't give up and can now actually be profitable. Most people lose money they can't afford to lose and gives up completely after that, that's why according to statistics investing is considered "very risky" and why boomers like our parents tells us to "be careful" when putting $5k into an S&P index fund, like that makes sense
