Hope you're sucking up these dips with your Corn (you do hold 21 BTC, right?) ... UNN / ETH LP (or, Geyser, if you will) is the perfect thing to enter right now if you are bullish on ETH, and you should be.

The insurance bubble will be a self fulfilling prophecy. Geyser APY goes down as the token goes down, and pump as the token goes up. This current level is a ludicrously good buy, as you see :

Small fish buy the token just for spec, and many don't have enough ETH to put any meaningful position in the geyser.

- Union go down? Spec buyers buy dips, many merely for quicker flips. You gain UNN via selling your ETH

- Union go up? Geyser APR's go up.

It's the sort of self-fulfilling thing we saw with AMPL, which pulled more than 100x in 3-4 months, but on a whole other level, as insurance layers will need to beef up.

If you look into Union's writing, they're essentially building a layer 2 to combat risk, but also took KYC and regulations very, very seriously. Why do you think most countries were not able to buy in the "public sale" and now a massive shake-out is happening? They want your UNNIES.

yes and then the whales all started dumping. if you look at the typical ROI at which the VCs involved in the presale exit, it's between x2 and x5 (and for better projects like synthetix or hashgraph). With no lock on the presale token there's a long way to go before they empty their wallets.

no they're not. the issue with the geyser's deceiving estimation has been raised several times over the past two weeks and they still haven't fixed it. most likely they're on break, which I guess is fine but doesn't inspire confidence for the project if they can't keep one guy on call to address issues with their website (which is their only product ATM)

more generally the project reeks of boomer amateurism. the twice failed IDO, the absence of locks on presale tokens, the closed source contract, the wrong reward estimation formula in the geyser, the poor communication (TG admins + they're terrible AMAs), the whitepaper where all the references are investopedia and the formatting is inconsistent... sure other DeFi projects made horrible mistakes and recovered. But this team has a pattern of half-assing things which doesn't inspire confidence for a fucking insurance product.

it's a shame because there are few DeFi insurance tokens and the other ones have done very well so this had a lot of potential, but I don't see it going very far. I've kept a small stack in the geyser, but if you're not planning on holding long term, the opportunity cost of locking your ETH vs investing it elsewhere is not worth it.
