Nowhere yet. I'm in talks with a few record labels, trying to get the best deal possible to start releasing music in early Q2 2021 as thats when festival season will begin. If 2021 festivals are a complete write-off due to covid, I don't mind waiting an extra year. This is gonna be geared towards music obviously as thats my niche but most of it can be applied to any sort of content creation or even entrepreneurial endeavour
1. focus on the product first. too many faggots out here making shit thats just a copycat of someone else. no differentiation. most content creation industries are saturated to absolute fuck (whether its music, youtube, whatever). Learn the craft inside and out, put in your 10000 hours, and focus on making a unique product. Literally everyone and their grandma is producing content nowadays. You gotta find a way to stand out from the crowd.
2. Learn the industry inside and out. Find out who's dick your gonna have to suck to get where you wanna be and who to avoid at all costs. A common mistake I see in the EDM space is so many producers are dick riding already established producers, thinking they will take their career to the next level. But those guys more often than not are gatekeepers and will limit your success because they don't want to give up a big piece of the pie. This can be done by reading books and following actors in the industry of choice on Twitter. Twitter is what I like to refer to as people's "brains leaking onto the internet" - you get a real good idea of whats going on through people's tweets
3. Be prepared to devote a huge amount of your life to it for a very long time. As I said, I've been working on this for about 5 years now, and it only started showing signs of life in late 2020. In those 5 years I've failed to maintain many meaningful relationships.
