Fair enough, my lesson was an expensive $500,000 loss in the 2017 crypto bubble after being educated through undergrad and masters which probably also cost $200,000 combined (debt free, parents paid) and even with all that it still won’t guarantee you make it. I think persistence is more important, as well as being emotionally dead inside. In OPs case perhaps he should just re-roll the dice and hope for a better outcome next life or start yoloing on call options.

The only thing that's allowed me to do at all well is being emotionally dead and not valuing the money. Yolo'ing half of my portfolio is rough, but the 20xs make it worth it. I’m personally shooting for multi-millionaire since a million isn’t the same anymore, but I get your point. It takes a lot of bullshit to get to this point + risk tolerance and cold-blooded moves. I’d recommend most people stick to other things unless they are prepared to suicide. Once you’ve killed off your doubting inner-self you can become rich.
