why do you faggots require explanations for this shit?
short term moves in the market are not 'explainable'. explain why it sometimes snows in late spring?
it's the combination of several factors that even if you understood completely for one occurrence, still wouldn't help you predict the future movements in a meaningful way.

he's right. XRP got fucked so, so, badly, that the rest of the market is starting to feel it. Other possible securities are at a huge risk now. BTC has topped out 5 times at 24k in the last few days. The whole thing is looking more and more like a nasty bubble about to pop.

There is essentially a scatter plot of news, from bullish to bearish, that is constantly appearing.
Market movements are nearly completely independent from that news, but when something significant happens in the market, people cherry pick whatever news can be used to justify the market movement. They retroactively apply the news to the market movement, as a way to make sense of it to themselves.
It's part of our natural inclination toward narrative building which is one of the great cognitive errors of human beings. You should read "Thinking, Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman. The "actual explanation" for why the market does anything is that people will deep enough pockets to make it move, chose to move it.

If they can do it to Ripple, they can do it to pretty much any crypto project. The project devs *always* control a significant supply of their token, and use sales to fund the project. It's the entire crypto business model. Why do you think LINK is dumping so hard? Ripple controls ~55% of the XRP supply, and nearly all of it is locked in escrow that they can't touch. Sergey controls 80% of the LINK supply, and he dumps $15M worth a week. If Ripple doesn't win then it's open season on the alts.

yes obviously there's a million factors as to why people are selling but the main point is that they're selling and that causes others to sell.

That is why its FUD, fear uncertainty doubt. It doesn't have to be true, people just need to be scared about the potential. In all likelihood it'll just be limited to XRP for the important projects (LINK, ETH, ect). If you were on the board before LINK dropped to 8 (then bounced back of course) you would have seen a ton of FUD regarding LINK and SEC even if its brain dead FUD that has little to no ground in reality. But it fucking worked, and now LINK went down 15% because it.
