Thank god more than half my portfolio is in bitcoin instead of alts. For fucks sake why do I even hold alts at all, no matter what happens in the bull market they just bleed sats.

I don't even have a full BTC, and I still keep most of my money in BTC.
I just want a 10x, then I can live my real life.

I stopped with the shitcoins, even link too, Im strictly 90% btc and 10% ETH. There is no Alt pump that even getting my attention anymore. Fomo is gone, I realized a 40x gain one day, -80x another. I dont know how to time these things so Im comfy in btc

>> No.25092091

If this bull run really is driven by institutional investors then I can see Bitcoin outperforming Alts for a long time. However, once retail sees bitcoin on the news again im sure we may have another alt coin rally. Might not be as big ( in terms of sats) compared to last time

This, but don't completely forget about it
Especially if it was a mistake or choice you made over time (like me consistently buying local tops lol, yet not buying the corona crash)
You need to wrestle with it, feel bad unhindered, and come away a little wiser

>>25092127
In dollar terms and only maybe
Most of the time they just bleed sats

That only happened because dumb money entered in a 1 month period. All dumb money was betting that "X coin" would flip Bitcoin. This was the narrative for thousands of new tokens. The institutions investing aren't the same tards from 2017, they had 4 years of additional due diligence to realize Bitcoin is king and everything else is a Ponzi.

>> No.25092524

this very much this
alts only pumped due to normie retards thinking "bitcoin is so expensive, but shitcoin #4371 is only $0.50, it will be the next bitcoin and I'll be rich!"

I would look at the BTC indicators like the RSI, Stoch RSI, and EMovingAverages, you can get a pretty good idea of what other BTC holders are seeing. BTC on the weekly RSI is spent and will most likely correct and any correction on the weekly is bound to be huge so if you really wanted to invest now, do dollar cost averaging.

Pretty much, some sats will bleed into altcoins like in the previous bullrun. That was mostly noobs trying to buy the next bitcoin, so we might not see the same market wide rush again, at least not as high.

And then when bitcoin dunks after surging to a new epic ATH, altcoins are going to get annihilated yet again. Even fucking Ethereum isn't back from its ATH yet and BTC is already $24k stable(ish).

>> No.25092726

>>25092622
I feel ETH is a very safe bet, and it usually pumps 1-2 months after BTC anyways. Everything else is a gamble. I’m sure we’ll have alt szns but the driver of this szn will be people familiar with crypto - not newbies like last time.

>> No.25092777

>>25092443

People also look for excitement at the end of the bull cycle when bitcoin starts to correct (probably somewhere in 2022 this time around). I don't think the institutional interest will be able to curb that entirely. It may not look the same but we'll get something like a January 2018 this time around too.

>> No.25092779

Historically bitcoin pumps and then alts go next. But I’m not sure that will happen this time. This is bitcoin pump is institutional money not retail. And those people are literally NEVER buying your shitcoin bags.

This is the true way. I'm so tired of the stress of trying to balance a bunch of alts. Wasting so much time reading about coins and worrying about the best time to invest and payoffs.

Dump money into Bitcoin every day, occasionally toss Etherium some change, and just sit on it a few years. I'll join you all in the millionaires club then.

100% btc here i'm okay with my smallish 500% gains not worth the risk and anxiety to dabble into alts.
