Truth is, no one who has researched this space or is in IT would invest in this, grid computing is a decades old concept that never really took off except for some free science volunteer projects. Slapping an obscure altcoin on top of it doesn't make it easier to use and certainly having terrible documentation and no tech support could explain why a project with 80M+ in funding an four years of development cant show one (1!) single user. Thats piss poor, any VC funded startup would have been cut from funding and kicked out the accelerator long ago. But Gilles and his academic buddies don't care, even if their top employees are leaving in droves, because the founders are set for life and are actually rather looking for new academic grant money instead of needing to touch their own ICO money, which they'd rather spend for themselves.
