I don't understand - If you are to short on the stock exchange, your broker gives you stocks to borrow. You can't do this in crypto. So does everyone just mean buy the dip rather than actual short? Can someone explain this to me as if I were a 5 year old?

There's also the concept of trading with the trend - longing bull trends, shorting bear trends. staying out otherwise.
