on top of everything other anons have mentioned, it's worth knowing the current btc "bullrun" is 100% fraudulent, propped up by printed tethers backed by nothing
you can view this easily through comparing the google trends charts. interest in bitcoin has been low since the beginning of the year, and even the recent surge post $20k doesn't compare to the 2017 craze
(on the other hand, tether only printed $1.5B in 2017. nowadays they have printed over $20B)
bitfinex (= tether) is supposed to provide proof of funds by mid-january. they will not. this was their exit pump
there's yet more bad news for crypto and eth specifically
first, regulation against noncustodial wallets is coming. more regulation for exchanges, less adoption
then cme futures are going to open eth futures soon. this means big money gets to short the ponzi every month
sub $100 is honestly possible in 2021. you have to prepare accordingly. a bet on eth now is a bet that in the long term it will recover and surpass current levels, but that you don't know WHEN and even IF the crash is going to occur exactly, so you'd rather hold your stack than miss out on potential upside years down the line
but if you're not enthusiastic about the technology, the promises and so on, it's probably a dumb idea to buy now. unless the money means nothing to you
