UK anon here. I don't think people have grasped the impact of this new strain. I fall in the COVID sceptic group but our scientists are very good - they are saying this strain is 70% more potent. Around 65% of London cases are the strain, and personally a lot of my freinds are now infected (all doing fine though).

The main issue is that they locked down London and the SE. Now Germany, Italy, France and other EU countries have banned travel this afternoon. There are lorries literally stuck at the border in Dover not being allowed across. So clearly governments are taking this very seriously.

The kicker is that the strain has already been detected in Italy, Denmark, and a few other places. This will CLEARLY spread across the rest of Europe and the world as the Wuhan-strain did.

When that happens, we will lockdown HARD until the vaccine.

I think this is a play, what do you guys think? Markets to not give a fuck cos lockdown = stimulus = stonks up?
