eth is already over 72 billion market cap, and has no supply cap. Ethtards will say "but muh eip 1559" but that's not going to happen ever tbqh. Also PoS is antithetical to cryptocurrency, might as well buy xrp or stocks/bonds desu. PoS will just further centralize distribution of eth into the hands of whales, and since it's a premine it's already extremely centralized. Monero is about 2.7 billion right now and has room to grow trillions, it'll have less circulating supply than btc until 2040 and tail emission will allow it to scale without the fee market that will end up crippling btc.

That's not why asics are bad. They are bad because mining was made to be decentralised, but if only mining companies have a chance to not hemorrhage money while mining, it is not decentralisation.
With monero however, basically every current gen consumer grade cpu can at least break even while mining, therefore the network is a lot more decentralised because a vastly bigger population is able to support the network for free or even making profit.

They are a good way to store crypto. It is impossible to know what "the best" way is. That very much depends on your situation and risk loading. With hardware wallets, you really have to trust their silicon. You don't have to trust anything. They're completely offline and you can import your own self created keys if you'd like. Basically a password protected paper wallet with optional funcionality that can send transactions.
Most (if not all) of the hardware wallets are open source anyway, so even if they weren't offline (which they are), their security could still be verified.
