Elon is never going to purchase a proof of work coin that requires mining in its current state through Tesla. He has mentioned it explicitly: proof of work is contrary to Tesla's clean energy mission. Google it if you don't believe me. Maybe he would entertain buying it with his personal funds but I still don't believe he would go against his values like that.
