BTC's inflation is pretty high right now as well. The only difference is that BTC's inflation is known in advance. Based on what ETH is trying to do their inflation will also decrease. It's not in place just yet but the plans have already been agreed on and underway (Proof of Stake transition + EIP1559).

You can't just dismiss those plans because pretty much everything ETH has wanted to deliver it eventually does. So your only legit complaint is that it's not in place right now or FUD that it will never be delivered. Once delivered ETH inflation will reduce significantly.

Within 1 month ETH will rip up hard leaving BTC in the dust. Even with these multi-month BTC rallies ETH is STILL outperforming BTC on a Dollar % Basis YTD. Holding BTC is basically a way to lose money unless you swing trade from BTC to alts and time that right. But if you're just buying and holding, literally ANY other coin will make you more money in 1 years time than BTC.
