Has this been the only coin that has proven facts of people going out of their way and storing it in personal home vaults? Hell I remember a few years ago someone was going to prison or getting a divorce or something and wanted to burry Monero in a wallet in some mountain.

The only reason people are making paper wallets of BTC is they fell for the personal bank meme and are waiting to sell at a higher price.

xmr is a swiss bank in your pocket, or even better tbqh. you could hypothetically have your seed and passphrase split in say 3 parts plus backups, and stored across multiple continents even, on some sort of fireproof material maybe. Gold bugs for example say "what if electricity goes out" but can't we do offline signing until the grid comes back online? Now that we've invented electricity and the internet I'm sure we can figure out how to reproduce it. But Bitcoin also serves this purpose, its network is more secure than any other due to its size. But for the same reason it's highly centralized by chinese asic miners. xmr's randomx prevents this, but then I suppose the problem of botnets arises. Although the barrier of entry is low since I think any script kiddie can buy a profitable botnet for cheap, but it takes lots of capital and even political power to start a profitable asic mine. Btc obviously fails at privacy compared to btc, but it also loses when it comes to scalability because of features like randomx, bulletproofs, cslag, tail emission, and idk if I'm missing anything else lol.

I agree and as far as I know it's pretty obvious if a miner is running on your system because of the ram it uses, it's just some fud I've seen. Idk much about mining but I know it's still profitable to mine with a decent cpu but like with eth and gpu mining it makes more sense to just buy the coins from my understanding.

buy old pc for £30 from ebay.
format hdd.
remove wireless adapter - this pc is to never, ever connect to the internet.
install o.s from trusted source.
transfer xmr wallet software to pc via usb.
run wallet software, save private keys and stash on multiple usb drives. save public key and stash on a pc with a live internet connection, so you can send coins to your cold-storage account.

job done. cheaper than hardware wallets and more secure than any other method known to man.

I was a total Monero chad until I started following Litecoin's MW implementation. MW has an anonymity set of the entire fucking set of MW users, vs Monero's ring signature system, which while highly unlikely to provide enough proof for a charge per se, is more than enough to provide a short list of suspects.

Litecoin is also faster cheaper and is available on every exchange under the sun.

litecoin is optional privacy with a transparent ledger and trash anon sets for privacy. the vast majority of their users will continue doing non private transactions. Just look at zcash, which is built for privacy, but because it is non optional and therefore never actually used.
