During the past few months I've earned about 2k working as a freelance programmer. I spent it ALL on bullshit. Finally I invested some of it, about 400$ of it, in an account that gives me a small amount of money each month. I don't know what they're called. My aunts and uncles gave me and my siblings some money after they sold our grampa's old house. My family has never had much money ever since my father died. He was a dentist and he was rich, but he spent it all on booze and opium and Ritalin.

I was wondering, am I devaluing myself for asking only 200~300$ for each gig? I mean, the whole point of people hiring me is my cheapness, otherwise they would have hired someone else.

I dunno, it's a conundrum I face everyday.

I was employing a freelance programmer from Venezuela for a while. I paid him an average of like $10/ hour.
