I only have 1400USD in crypto atm but I basically just shitpost from work all day anyway when I'm not doing my actual job. It's comfy enough, I really just want a car and a house, I don't need to retire to make it. I just want to support a wife and kids without getting divorce raped.

I worked in the field for a long time, but now I moved into the office and I cost estimate now.
I get to work around 8:45am and I leave no later than 4 every day (usually I’m gone by 2:30-3:00)
Barely do any work.
Maybe 5-6 hrs a week tops
>make 85k a year with great benefits
I’m just sitting on my crypto stack
>put 15% of salary into retirement with company 5%match
>max out additional Roth IRA
>live off the rest of my salary, and even have plenty extra to put into stocks and more crypto

I’m probably gonna keep this job for as long as I’m able to keep this situation.
If crypto goes as high as we all hope, I’ll cash out, buy a beach house and chill for the rest of my life.

Since the coof hit my wage cage has decided to supplement responsibilities and provide no insight or training to me. i used to work in the field do installations, but now I'm doing help tickets, handling ticket assignments to other departments, data and failure analysis, bitch work basically. I know what to do because I figured it out on my own but told no one I knew and consistently miss deadlines, ghost clients, and play dumb under the guise of "ah jeez I had no idea. when can I get some training on this process...I'm just a field tech remember?"

>> No.24894178

Since COVID came along I've been basically "working" from home.

I do fuck all every day and I'm paid a salary of about $110,000 a year. I used to enjoy this job but the company has gone to shit and it's time to move on, thing is, I'm so fucking comfy where I am, I'm earning good money for doing fuck all, I send, maybe two emails or so a week, no one bothers me.

I used to take pride in my work, but realised it doesn't matter, just become an anonymous cog in a corporate machine and chug on with it. I will look for a new job in the new year, I miss the challenge, and actually delivering shit.

that's the thing. i realised at some point recently that putting actual effort into work is largely under appreciated and usually goes unnoticed and you ultimately don't get any bonus from it. what's the point of putting 100% of your energy into work for x money when you can just not do that, do something relatively mediocre and still get x money.

I'm taking over a project from the current guy and he totally phoned in his presentation, I thought it was a shitshow but then at the end of the day everyone was saying what a good job he did while ignoring that almost everything about his presentation needs to be redone before the next review.
