There is no right answer for this. Mostly personal preference and security vs. convenience.
Hot storage - XUMM or Exodus.
Cold storage - Ledger/Trezor or Paper/Metal wallet
Do not use Droplet wallet, it is a scam.

I admit it has some pretty cool security features. I especially liked the wallet generation process and how it avoids common keyloggers, but, it can't avoid screen captures I think?

I guess the only point to worry about is during wallet generation, or a remote admin tool (which you'd have to be pretty damn stupid to catch) that'd control your phone manually, or something that switches out the address while sending.

But yeah I guess it's safe for the most part?

I think you're going a little too far here, and this is coming from someone who has paper wallets. I did the whole schbang and used an airgapped laptop with tails on it.

The main problem with a paper wallet is that it's a pain in the ass to extract and move your funds. It's a one time deal. Once you have to move them, you defeat the whole purpose of a paper wallet as you have to connect to a service or software wallet and go from there.

So I also use Ledger and Atomic. Both of their teams are public and Atomic's code is partially open source. So, I think it's safe. It really depends on the amount of crypto you want to be able to move around.

Around 30% of my xrp are on paper wallets. I might deposit more into paper. The rest are spread out on other wallets.

Also for all the crap Coinbase gets, they are insured, and they have pretty effective failsafes (like Ip detection) in case you are hacked. So its worth it to keep a little bit of xrp on there.

The great thing with a paper wallet is that it is the most secure. If everything fails, if ledger fails, if your desktop wallet fails, if you get hacked, no one, NO ONE, is getting into your paper wallet as long as you kept everything offline.

Coinbase is only insured to 250k i believe.

And you can technically sign a tx offline for a paper wallet. If that's too annoying restoring to a trezor or open source app for the purpose of transferring to an exchange is still better than a ledger as your xrp is only on a transient wallet for a minute leaving a very small time window for attack vs months on atom or ledger. Hello again anons, I know that this is a difficult and anxious time right now around the world but remember that both sides of the coin do in fact exist in tandem and are indeed both sides of you yourself.

Last time I made a serious post I spoke at some length about my intentions with brain computer interfacing and the excitement I feel for all of us as we progress into the future. Our position is one of responsibility to ourselves foremost and to others after that given our lack of financial limitations. To echo what previous anons have said, focus on how you will improve your community with the broader goal of assembling some meta-traditional value structure back into this hyper globalized and pozzed reality, its one of few ways we get a good end in all of this.

Try not to worry too much about the elites, yeah they're crazy, but as with all things there are two sides of equal and opposing force which in the end will create new order.

In the meantime, seriously try to lift weights (don't forget to stretch!), de-stimulate your brain cutting off porn and social media, meditate, and read. I personally recommend "Metareligion as the Human Singularity" as a quick framing device for all of this nonsense we've seen with the spiritual war present in society.

As for me, I'm finishing up my finals just about now and intend to chat with /xsg/ semi regularly during break (though, I'll be decreasing my 4ch use across the 'board', pun intended, as I'm trying to unfuck my dopamine circuits from years of pornography and video games) and I'll chat with y'all about my thoughts on our position as we move towards 4d/5d earth, answer questions about 4d/5d earth to the best of my understanding, and eventually organize a discord in which we can create a culture of betterment for ourselves and the future of the world.

Yes but you're point is still moot. Eventually, you are going to have to interact with a networked device to move your funds. With a paper wallet, no interaction is necessary until you want to move them. With ledger, its technically the same thing.

>that's fucking retarded and you know it.
Bruh, its *not* a true seed phrase. It's a seed created by Ledger.

With paper wallets, you are using the XRPL itself. The secret key is assigned to every XRP wallet on the XRPL. This is universal to the XRPL and it will always be supported as you are utilizing the core technology underlying XRP.

With Ledger you are using 3rd party tech.

Probably but the point remains you'll never know for sure. Also it would just use the pseudo random option not raw entropy. Couple that with the fact that you don't know if there are back doors and the leaking of customer info its not a good long term storage option.

It serves its purpose day trading though.

And? Yes, you need to enter in your secret key in order to move funds. It is the absolute most secure way to keep your funds. If you arent intending to use your funds, then why connect to the network?

>The keys never touch a networked device.
Bruh, in order for you to move funds, you need to connect to a network. This is regardless of whether or not its a paper or hardware wallet.

This is why your point is moot. It doesn't matter because either way you are going to connect to a network when you want to move your funds. But when the paper wallet is offline, nothing touches it. The whole point for a paper wallet is 100% secure cold storage. You lock it away and dont touch it.

Ok I get it now. You're either trolling, or you just don't understand how private keys work. Let me break it down for you:

- Your private key can be used to sign messages. This message signature is proof you own the corresponding private key.
- Moving funds on the ledger is equivalent to writing a message "move 50xrp from address A to address B," and then signing that message with your private key.

All a hardware wallet does is sign messages. Your networked device *NEVER SEES YOUR PRIVATE KEY* because it never leaves the hardware wallet. All the networked device gets to see is a signed message.

With a paper wallet, you are temporarily storing your private key *ON THE NETWORKED DEVICE* in order to move funds!

I'll repeat one more time because I know you're slow:
Hardware wallet - private keys never touch networked device.
Paper wallet - private keys live on networked device while funds are being moved.

I dont think you are understanding what I am saying. The only risk is yes, moving your funds once they exit your paper wallet. But this risk is shared when you use your Ledger as the risk lies in the networked device.

but wait a minute!

>private keys never touch networked device

Regardless of this, the network device can still be compromised. We've seen this many times with dumb, stupid ledger users downloading malware. So this risk is shared by both methods.

Paper wallets are still the most secure way of storing your funds. No matter which way you slice it, you are using 3rd party software and hardware instead of the XRPL itself.

How retarded is my XRP exit strategy?
I'm planning on swinging my stack, selling part of my stack on the local tops and buying back 50% on the local bottoms. My stack will slowly shrink, I will hopefully make a small profit (compared to selling everything at once) and I will have money for the upcoming dumps. I will then be able to buy back my previous altcoin positions that I had before I fell for the Flare meme, possibly at a profit if BTC dips back down to 17k. Also, I will keep some XRP in case the $2k meme turns out to be true.

It's compliance ready/friendly, has an actual use case in the real world trying to solve the liquidity issues of crossborder payments, it's incredibly cheap and efficient, it's already being put in place over other projects as the company has some serious connections, and it's the best positioned currency to dethrone the dollar as a reserve currency

it has also serious projects like flare, which is one example, allowing to have the properties of LINK and create decentralized lines of credit for people who would like to borrow money but does not have access to institutional banking

essentially, there might be other projects right now that does what xrp does, but none of them is as positioned for asap implementation as ripple, and ripple works quite well, and the company has a good reputation among bankers, and bankers/financiers are eager to finally dethrone the dollar as the country where the dollar is based on is very unstable so this needs to be done asap

you don't have all the time in the world, and ripple is there already having implementation tests throughout banks when other projects are barely out of the crib

So is the infrastructure for xrp really superior to any other coin/token/chain?
If so, that would definitely make it the logical choice for banks.
It also defeats the other fud about why can't they just build their own. You simply can't concentrate 8 years of work into a few months.

Thanks anon, blessed and based.

>It all makes sense now that Brazil is a hellhole when people like you live there.
The hellhole makes the people, not the other way around, we can do little but adjust, adapt and struggle to survive in the enviroment we were born in, Not everyone is blessed with being born in a nice country.

It's not that it's superior, in-as-much as it is efficient and gets the job done in its own terms, and they have already been working on implementation for much longer than any other projects around.

Flare will make it even more serious, and much harder to compete against also.

XRP has the highest speed and capacity out of ALL crypto out there not to mention that once they release flare they will be the only turing complete token out there able to bring the first trial to the internet of things.
XRP has already got partnerships with MASSIVE mayor banks and theyre the only serious/real 4th industrial revolution asset out there they work distribution makes them reliable and they will always be the mayor shareholder making them inmune to external pressure even in the case of an outsider pressure.
Im amazed at how this is so badly underknown were literally watching the great reset before our eyes.

egyptian blue lotus is fun, it's like herbal xanax. gives you wild dreams. i got some from benni botanicals, idk if they still have it in stock though. mucuna pruriens, reishi, turmeric and milk thistle are all part of my regular stack, i got mine from Swanson and they seemed pretty good and cheap. Moringa is also really good for you, it does a lot of other stuff besides pineal gland business. I hear Chaga is good too.

that's what i'm doing, yeah. i'm having fun imagining if a girl came over and trying to explain why my electronics are wrapped in tinfoil.

>yeah so basically there's a great reset about to happen, it's like a solar flare but also astrology because jupiter is going to kill saturn- the deep state is either hacking the internet infrastructure or getting hacked, it's kinda hard to tell right now but honestly you just have to trust the plan, these insiders on twitter keep posting cartoons of bears and i'm going to be a millionaire next week or maybe week after, so i don't want my zerps to get fried- wait where are you going?

Celsius dropped BitGo as custodian a while ago. Not sure what they use now.
Nexo still uses BitGo.
AnchorUSD has ties to Stellar and is US based.

Yeah yeah, don't give me that "this is the internet hate machine" teenage crap! This is /biz/ the business and finance board, not /b/ or /pol/, keep that trash out of here.

Imagine that a few hundred years ago the douchebags that lived in this shithole turned it into a hellhole, and for some fluke of destiny your grandparents choose to imigrate to this shithole to escape certain death during ww1, you are now stuck in a hellhole full of savages. My family did not create this hell, we were forced to come here in order to survive.

So no, the people do not necessarily make the hellhole, we might just get tossed into a pre-made one due to war and other calamities, and that can still happen to you or your descendants, no matter where you currently live or how well off your family is.
