Why is it so hard to convince my family to be financially responsible?

Like, I'm not even trying to convince them to invest anymore. At this point I'm just pleading with them to stop running a balance on multiple credit cards, or to at LEAST start tracking their recurring payments

I learned this late in life. Don't help people who don't want to him themselves.

I tried to convince the family not to fall for scams, I tried to teach them business, I tried to teach them finical responsibility but it doesn't work. Don't help them unless they help themselves first.
