The better you do the less you care how you look. Your teammates give no fucks too cause you are pro. As time goes and you become better and better and well off your your hair literally start to look like homeless guy. Then you go to some normie place and they look at you in disgust until you open your mouth and then reality hits - the voice tone says it all. But what a fucking weird dissonance.

People judge you base on your appearance when they don't know you, but once they do they will judge it on your character. Your competence is a critical component to contributing to the success of the company. You have proven your value to everyone around you ,hence they can see past your ugly mug.

If you want to date someone out of your league you have to do it in your industry. Only those who can understand your importance will respect you. Those outside of it will give two shits.

The dating part is correct. I've tried "outside of scene" too but there is not even little bit of mental match, it is like stepping into different world. The IT scene is full of power couples too - some even being both programmers. I guess it might be in many industries - bankers prefer bankers, theater & arts people are infamous of their little circles where they do everything including dating.

We live a very bias shallow world. Competence in my opinion is the most attractive feature a man can have. However most people will never understand or see your competence. Be happy because you are a valuable member to society and have earned your spot.

Eventually you started to hate people and then come up with a vaccine plan to sterilise them

Honestly if you aren't terminally autistic and have any technical acumen, you'll make senior within 5 years. Then the challenge is resisting the upper management's push to get you to become an autist wrangler as technical lead or management track. Don't ever sacrifice your technical progression for short term higher earnings. Management is a road to being 40 and trapped in a company because your technical skills are out of date.
