Honestly I have a feeling this has more to do with outdated, and flawed iq testing techniques than anything. They're almost all focused around spatial awareness and problem-solving, which isn't as good of a gauge of intelligence in today's world than it was 100 years ago. And this is coming from a person who tends to dominate these sections of iq tests (had to do one when I applied for the military, I ended up declining in the end but they were begging me to stay just based off my test results).

I think we should start factoring in a person's ability to filter through information, and pick out useful parts, since our world has turned into an information overload. But ya, what is actually considered "intelligent" has changed quite a bit, especially the last 50 or so years, but iq tests really havent.
