I deleted because I think i misunderstood but I re wached it and it seems shes saying she missed out on BTC because the demographic back then didnt include her. BTC isnt a company and they dont advertise, so theres no demographic that BTC is aiming for. The Winklevos twins were early adopters along with Gates, antivirus man etc so of course people who follow these guys are going to be in on BTC first. The demographic of those who follow the undergroudn tech sector are mostly going to be men, especially in 2010. They then use them to form social networks where they grow as quickly as possible by catering to every possible tribe that might feel "left behind" and encourage their most capable allies to acquire political or legislative power and ultimately use that power to give kick back to the "community" that "helped them get there". It's a celebrity game. It's a fragile dance where they have to continually steer their growing mob and ensure their original message doesn't get diluted in alternative visions that proliferate in such patchwork groups. If they misstep and alienate their followers, it can backfire and they lose their social capital in the process.
