We will see 10% of all eth supply locked in eth2.0 this winter. EIP 1559 comes out in February making eth DEFLATIONARY (each block burning a shit ton of eth).

I’m thinking we’re headed to 5k unironically

>> No.24752391

It wont' be deflationary, it only burns a part of the gas fees, but the block reward will still exceed that by a lot.

>> No.24752419

EIP 1559 isn't happening mate. I read the article in your photo and it says nothing about it happening. Miners don't want it to happen and keep rejecting the proposal, so it won't happen.

Anyone concerned that we will never see our ETH again and the payouts won't be worth it? I'm starting to get worried about staking now...

The miners are migrating to Classic.
Its always good to keep stacks of both coins.

If you stake with Binance, they will give you your rewards in BETH, which you can use to redeem ETH 1:1 at the end of the staking period. In the meantime you can still trade your BETH and it will probably have the same value as ETH.

>> No.24753306

What does this mean for gas fees by the way? Will it finally go down to a reasonable amount? With BSC you pay less than $0.10 per transaction.

>> No.24753318

>>24753081
sure this whole thing might nuke before we can even withdraw, but I think its a reasonable risk compared to the shitcoins /biz/ usually buys

>>24753112
why would anyone migrate to classic, it's dead. there will be other mineable shitcoins more profitable

10k seems reasonable
