People are selling bitcoin because of the MtGox dump by the 15th... but what if this dump is already priced in, and we have a pump instead?

Nice wishful thinking. Prepare your anus

so the anticipation of 150'000 BTC being dumped has greater effect than 150'000 BTC being dumped?

Makes sense. That would explain why whales are moving larger amounts of BTC to exchanges lately. Microstrategy, Square, PayPal etc will scoop up a bunch as the price drops so we may even see whale FOMO where they sold expecting a major price drop and instead the price sort of dips and then pumps back hp

That kind of thing used to happen all the time in the previous bull markets. We'll just keep crabbing in our new range until February. By the end of next year I'll buy another house with the 5% interest I got over the year.

BTC in 2014 was worth less than $1K, do you think people wouldn't sell for a 20X?

They will, but I dont think it will have the effect most people are thinking it will.
There will be a few new whales joining the market, yes, but then now we have Greyscale, Microstrategy and others buying in large amounts.
