While I do think xrp will fall after the snapshot, I don't know if it'll be profitable to short. That's because I don't know if an exchange will require the person who is short to deliver the spark coins for the xrp they were short at the time of the snapshot (that is, does being short xrp at the snapshot also make you short spark?) . For example: I'm short 10 xrp at snapshot time. Xrp goes from $0.50 to $0.20. So I make $3 on the shorts. But I had to borrow those xrp to sell them short. So I owe the owner of those xrp his spark. I therefore have to buy spark and deliver them. I can still have a net profit if I can buy spark for less than the drop in xrp (so if I can buy spark for less than $0.30). None of this counts fees and interest of course. Has anyone come across helpful information about this?
