Holding filecoin isn't really a risk and is probably even a smart investment in the current market. Filecoin may have been crabbing for ages, but crab is good when everything is dumping. You can also hedge the possibility for a pump while also avoiding the dump in the rest of the market.

I was going around in threads tossing out a estimated 20% pump for this, which is what happened, roughly. That being said, a broken clock is right twice a day. I also didn't expect it to plummet to pre-pump levels. I assume that people may have flooded Coinbase just to dump during the pump.

I think the general trend as I described above with the coinbase effect is correct but I think it's a bit dangerous to expect specific similarities between different currency arrivals.

It's an interesting distribution we've got here though.

If it's any consolation, back when Numeraire launched, it immediately dumped for two days straight before miraculously spiking again and then weeks later far exceeding the original amount. Of course, it's hard to compare currencies with different histories, market caps, and timings, but it does help to illustrate the unusual behaviors of the market... and sometimes that unusual behavior is appreciated. It sure would be appreciated now.

The steady 10% is greedy even compared to what I was doing — I was on a roll of 4% a day just swinging link on 5m/15m candles, had no problem taking profits then. The two gigantic moves I waited and waited for? Couldn’t fucking sell. That’s the deepest pain, knowing you were right and you did nothing.
