Title is not click bait. I just lost the sole scholarship that allows me to stay in college. This situation is shitty, it sucks. For me to go to college next semester, I need to have $11500 in hand. Sadly, I only have $3800, and it is currently all in PLTR. I need to do something big to get up to $11500 and if it is a huge risk, thats ok. If you have an idea of what position I should take, please tell me. I'll take every idea into consideration. I'm looking for short term plays, since I have a month to make ~$7500. Either my portfolio goes to the moon or I go back to working at Chick-fil-A.

No. There are easier fuels to use we just have the most infrastructure and experience (and regulatory momentum) for it. Why did we choose U in the first place when there are a bunch of other options?
Because natural Uranium contains U-235 and U-238. When in a reactor the first one is what is used in nuclear power and if the U-238 fraction is increased (enriched) than you generate Pu-239. Pu-239 is the "raw material" for a nuclear weapon after a bunch of other steps. This is not a coincidence.
There are other fuels that don't create weapons capable isotopes as. byproducts but the technology is trickier. But the advantage is then you don't care about Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc. having nuclear power since they can't produce weapons from the byproducts.

Uranium is responsible for a large percentage of the heating in the core of the earth that creates the dynamo responsible for the earth's magnetic field. And they are. They've closed 500 stores this year and 800 in the past two years. How is not closing that many stores a serious change. They've raised 500m in cash and another 100m possible through a secondary offering. They're trimming the fat.
