About the dashboard... Is that really something that is going to impact the price and why?

>t. 20k stack

>> No.24697425

Because the team is waiting until there is a user-friendly UI before devoting time resources to marketing. It's not so much the dashboard itself that we are bullish on.

>> No.24697430

>>24697276
The dashboard alone won't pump the price significantly, no. The goal with the dashboard is to stimulate the ecosystem by making it easier for people to use statera as its intended (i.e pooled, pegged to an index fund and generating fees). As it is now pooling is too complicated for the average holder and even something as simple as checking the APY requires several steps. What's going to have the most significant impact on the price however is the marketing campaign that is scheduled to begin after the dashboard is released as confirmed by the team multiple times.
Also in the future the ability to pool statera directly will be reinstated (that's the secret project the team is also currently working on). That's a beast in itself and it's going to have an immense impact on price too, but there's no ETA for it yet.

This is incredibly inaccurate. I assume you're just a fudder, but just in case I'll clear things up for you
The Statera exploit was caused by a bug in Balancer's code. This exploit only applied to deflationary tokens, (i.e. STA.) Balancer took full responsibility for the exploit, and refunded the stolen money. The Statera team actually helped out with this and refunded the stolen STA, even though they had 0 responsibility to do so
So they actually helped bail out the Balancer team, so I'm pretty sure they are still on good terms kek

>> No.24705797

>This exploit only applied to deflationary tokens
yes, because rather than using a standard ERC-20 transfer method, they used a custom method which burns tokens. This is a textbook example of breaking ERC-20 compliance. Balancer did offer compensation because STA dragged their name through the mud. That's exactly why they dislike the STA team.

No, Balancer just has a very elitist attitude and a very narrow view of what a token should be, for people that are in Defi. One of the main guys still calls Chainlink a scam. Its not Statera by itself, and since they are discord fags themselves they ran across Noke and Seb first so their first chats with anyone were people from the scam version.

This is wrong though. The reason the bug arose was because the token isn't ERC-20 compliant. If it was, there was no possibility of that hack happening. If you admit that it only effects deflationary tokens, then you admit it only effects non ERC-20 compliant coins lol. Balancer even warned them against using deflationary tokens before the exploit happened, then STA turned around and said
>Why didn't you fix the problem if you knew it wasn't safe?
Newsflash, you can't change the code for a pool that's already been created, it's a fucking smart contract. STA ignored warnings, put something on the platform that wasn't supported, got fucked for it, and then pointed their fingers at Balancer.
>they knew about the problem
So did STA, now who is more retarded for their actions?

Nope, Statera was removed from the list because it was literally too good, so good that Balancer complained it was made to ”game the system”. STA hitting $1 right now is only an 84m mcap, which is nothing, even in the current market
Remember that in the last golden bull run we saw absolute shitcoins hit multi-billion dollar mcaps. I do not know if that will happen again, but $10 STA would still only be $840m mcap, and that's not factoring in burn

Statera was top 200 at its peak and during the altcoin bullrun top 200 was roughly $80M cap which would put Statera very close to $1 and maybe even past that if we take the burn into account.

As the total crypto market cap will likely to be higher than in the previous run then it is not even required for Statera to become top 200 again to break $1.

I don't see this as an impossible scenario at all as it has reached those ranks once already and despite the hardships it has faced it is still a project has with a simple yet pretty unique and curious idea and huge amounts of eyes on it waiting for things to start happening.

It can also just dump to zero overnight but then again if it was to happen, it would have happened already. The Balancer accident was by far the worst thing that happened to Statera and it still managed to turn a sub 1c dump into a new all time high. I just think this is a token that has proven itself already and in the right setting can break every roof on its way to a new record.

The fact that the possibility was known beforehands and nothing was done to fix it makes it enough of a fuck up that is worthy of the whole company going down. To be honest I'm amazed how little of a hit Balancer took from it. Anyways, here is the address of the exploiter:

First transactions in the wallet were only a day prior to the whole thing going down and (afaik, I'm not too good with blockchain analysis) is not related to Balancer. Basically they didn't need to drill a hole in the wall for preparation as the hole was already there. There was no time between the "hack" being discovered and the funds being stolen but there was plenty of time to patch that hole up.

I guess Balancer was out of concrete and boy did that cost them some good $.

The vulnerability was reported to Balancer on May 6, more than three weeks before the Statera pool was founded. And according to the twitter account that made the report there already was a pool that was in danger yet Balancer chose to do absolutely nothing about the issue in the next two months.

There was a hundred ways to handle it correctly but instead they chose to fuck things up even more by publicly telling about the possibility. It is likely that it didn't affect the outcome (exploiter was already working on it) but it still adds to the whole thing.

christ, i forgot about STONK. What ever happened to that? I see zero liquidity on uniswap so i assume rugpull post-refund, or balancer never pulled through and left the project to die

>1. Blacklist the coin immediately.
wouldn't have prevented it, besides, you were against them publicizing the mistake earlier
>2. Admit the mistake.
wouldn't have prevented it
>3. Fix the software issue.
impossible, the pool was already deployed
>4. Ensure no further exploits are available on your network before people put their actual money on it.
impossible, it's a decentralized platform

>>fix the issue after it was brought to their knowledge while at the same time informing the pool(s) in danger about the situation and what they are going to do about it
impossible, can't change a pools contract after it's deployed
>>remove the possibility of creating pools that contain tokens that might be at risk (instead they momentarily whitelisted Statera full well knowing it was a deflationary token and hence at risk)
impossible, it's a decentralized protocol
>>when they finally woke up to STA pool rapidly growing and becoming one of the most popular (in terms of attention to the system, not liquidity/volume) pool in the system and remembered the vulnerability, they could have alerted the Statera team privately which would have given the responsibility to Statera
Statera was aware, you already admitted Balancer talked about these risks publicly. this is jsut cope

The exploited pool was deployed on May 29, a tatal of 23 days after they were made aware of the situation.

Literally every single point of yours fails due to this one fact.

Well done, giving a two day heads up before the entirety of the $500,000 pool was drained after knowing about the possibility for the past nearly two months.

YUP, totally Statera's fault.

You are a fucking retard.

The Stonks guys do a transparent rug. Liquidity was pulled so whales would not buy the token while they considered how to re-launch again.

they can't write code which detects if a token has inserted custom implementation because the API for the functions look the same. It's a decentralized protocol, you don't understand what you are talking about.

Yes

You claimed the issue was impossible to fix because the pool was already deployed.

The pool was deployed almost a month after they were informed about the issue.

Just leave.

Yes, because it's a decentralized protocol. There is one contract that anyone can interact with to create a pool. It seemed like you were implying they needed to fix the Statera pool, but if you mean they should have prevented the pool from being created, that's another smart contract. No one is in charge of people making pools you fucking retard go put your money in a savings account if you want that shit
