Im 24 make 25k a year and am a full time student (started Uni at 19) and live in Cali. Some how now have 40k in crypto 5k in stonks 5k in boomer rocks and 2k in the bank. Not only that but I got 10k truck fully paid off plus a variety of 10 different rifles and handguns. The only downside is I have 25k in student loan debt. At work it's all Javascript, Typescript, Java, Python. The big languages of the C family are all valuable for employment. AWS is very valuable, all my code runs and operates on amazon infrastructure. I don't have any certs and don't want any, and I write Lisp on my own time. It took me about 5 years of amateur programmjng before I got this job, but I have friends with way less. Find a contracting company, they will take a solid percentage of your wages but they will also get you hired and experience is most valuable.

ChemE who graduated in may this year, it was also free for me. Do yourself a favor and study electrical or computer hardware instead. Electrical is a lot more lucrative has better job market and has way better potential for self employment. Good luck boss. Chemical is really bad not because of the degree itself but the job market, also realize chemical is the engineering with the most women in it so when you go to apply for job, anyone women in your level or better will automatically get it over you. Also you will have to live in the middle of no where or go into pharma for money but pharma requires master preferably PhD. If you do still want to do chemical, do everything you can to get into semiconductors research. Semiconductors and nuclear are the only decent paths for a ChemE imo, pharma is gay as fuck and you could also do water treatment I guess but that shits over saturated and has shit pay on avenge.
