I'm honestly conflicted, yes Tesla is a gigantic bubble propped up entirely by billion dollar hedgefunds. But at the same time there is a reason those hedgefunds gambled on Tesla, I don't think even covid can bring it down. Especially when you factor in the climate change government subsidizations being rolled out and potential eco friendly car grants/ loans.

I don't hold Tesla but my gut tells me I should.

They'll probably keep pumping it until it becomes profitable. Considering the WEF predictions it sounds like Daimler, Volkswagen and the others are going out like the dinosaurs. They're trying to hold onto the market but I think it's futile. Zoomers are growing up with Musk with a cult like following of Musk. He's personable. Do you think the average zoomer knows the heads of Volkswagen? BMW? Ford? I highly doubt it. It's retarded and sheep mentality but it's happening I believe.

You can meme about "not a car company" all you like, but what's left when you strip the car part? An American based battery maker that will not be able to outcompete chinks...or a self driving car company, that drives its passengers into their death. Or a solar company, that doesnt even deliver good solar panels and just reuses 20 year old tech and sells it to literal mouth breathers who think theyre part of a revolution.

Tesla crashing did effect the nasdaq and tqqq, etc indexes that track sectors of it. The issue is that the money generally flows from one speculative stock to another. Now if tsla falls so will swaths of the market.
Tesla was extremely overvalued when it was allowed to be included in the sp earlier this year; there is a real freaking good reason it was denied as being overvalued. Nothing has changed -- the whole market is high on fiat and hopium.
When tesla was announced to join the sp500 it made every investment fund scramble to get enough of the overvalued stock so they could track the index with their ETFs. Now Tesla's price fluctuations have the ability to effect not only TQQQ etc. but also SPY etc.
The only thing truly propping up Tesla's share value is China's investment in it.

I'll sell 25% at 700, then 50% when/if it rises 750 or when it dips to 650, then see how things look after that, and I'll throw up a $600 sell line as a safety net every day for 75% of shares. I might hold on to 25% in case they pop up again.

Tesla can’t really be compared to traditional car makers. If they get self-driving cars to the market before anyone else — that alone is enough to dethrone Uber.

>> No.24635708

>>24634213
Yes they are. The A.I. space is way, way more about first mover advantage than a web crawler. Yahoo and others were there before Google. No one is here with Tesla. Only brainlets can't register the complete monopoly Tesla has. When self-driving cars are regulated Tesla will be the only company that will pass the barriers. Every second that passes all that driving data grows larger and larger. You can't just form a new company and then win over consumers like any other industry. It's over already. Tesla won. Shorters will rope short term and long.

>> No.24635773

>>24634502
No they're not. It's not a brain power or money power dynamic. It is literally a data issue. Every second that passes Tesla is accumulating crucial crucial self driving data where they will completely own the space. It is extremely complicated. Even if the best engineers at google start right now with an unlimited budget they will never catch up to Tesla. Now imagine other companies like GM, lol. You brainlets are so stupid. A.I. engineers are telling you this. You just don't want to listen.

>> No.24635805

>>24635773
Getting a lot of data isn't hard. Even startups like Comma AI do it and they can just copy Comma AI or buy it out.

>> No.24635911

>>24635805
They are good but that's my point. Comma AI is behind Tesla already and operating with a fraction of the budget and a fraction of the engineering base. Even if GM buys Comma AI they would still be behind Tesla. There's literally no way to catch up to Tesla and yes the data isn't hard but to accumulate it you need the hardest commodity to capture, time. Tesla has the time and will continue to log in time while the other attempts at self-driving autonomy capitulate.

>> No.24636094

>>24635911
This is insane levels of cope. Sorry dude but Tesla cars are objectively gay, have poor build quality, and look increasingly dated.

Only onions boys want a fully self driving car except for maybe on boring highway drives. Your argument assumes we'll all wake up one day and be like "WELL FUCK I JUST DONT WANT TO DRIVE ANYMORE, TIME TO BUY A TESLA".

That's your best case scenario.

In reality, fully self driving is going to be google glasses tier for absolute cucks. Driving is actually fun and having a self driving car is pretty meh. I wouldn't be in a rush to buy one personally and I think most people would feel that way. Especially when semi-autonomous vehicles that can do what you mostly want out of a self-driving car (heavy traffic, highways).

So now you're claiming Tesla will disrupt all of Uber. Again total fantasy. Even if you add Ubers map, Tesla would still be over-valued. And Telsa isn't setup to become the next Uber, nor would Tesla owners necessarily want to drive drunk fucks around in their car.

The future you dream of won't happen the way you think it will. You think it'll be like flipping a switch and Tesla is king. Even if it wins the race to autonomy, it will never achieve the market domination needed to support its current valuation.
