Hey /biz/bros
Looking to buy small bars of PMs as gifts for some people this Christmas. Does anyone know what the best place to order from is?
Also, suggestions for the best metals in terms of future value?
I woulda posted in PMG but search function seems to be down and I have seen any in the several pages I scrolled through.
Cheers

Is it normal for such huge price markups when buying online? It's practically a +30% markup on one gram of gold from the websites I'm seeing so far...

Fractional gold always has very high premiums. You’re much better off with giving silver as a gift. If you want fractional gold your best bet is something like a Swiss franc or British sovereign although those are significantly more than 1 g.

Yes, precious metals are a rip off, when you sell, you will find that premium completely disappear unless you want to go through the pain of many small personal sales.

don't buy gram gold unless it's all you can afford.

pay the full fat for a gold oz or buy silver instead.

1/4 or 1/2 oz gold is a better deal than gram gold. literally anything is a better deal.

also go ask PMG.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. The 1g of gold isn't necessarily meant to be an investment gift but more like a good luck charm for a couple new investor friends.
I'm looking at purchasing an ounce of silver but even there the markups are ridiculous. For example:
https://www.bullionmart.ca/product/1-oz-sunshine-silver-bar/
44.01 CAD per ounce when silver is currently valued at 30.86 per ounce (CAD). Might still get it though because like I said it wasn't meant to be an investment but a charm.

You can buy some nice coins

Bullion ingots under 1oz / 50g don't make sense
