Nothing. The LINK token itself does nothing, it just sits there and is therefor obviously not really needed, meaning it can go to $0 at any moment. The Chainlink network, on the other hand, provides useful services like the price of LINK, and sometimes ETH, and it could theoretically also tell you if it is very cloudy in New York, kind of like Google but you have to pay a lot of money every time you ask it something. I don't see something like that taking off myself, even if they do call their Google an "Oracle".
