Compound, CMC, Coingecko, UMA, DAI, Maker, Dao, ENS, Balancer, Synthetix, Optimism, Arbitrum, RLC etc etc.

Will have to market buy GRT in order to keep using the service, Imagine Chainlink effect but much more robust as it'll have to happen very soon and not through 1-2 years of accumulation period (GRT will be required by consumers to pay for query fees, Meaning On the first minute of the decentralized network launch projects will need to have available GRT in their pockets).
We're about to experience the biggest run any coin has seen since 2017 final alt season.

There is a chink exchange that trades iou. Good thing about it is that you'll never see prices like that on real exchange on listing (around 4x from sale price). Bad thing is that you may get scammed by chinks. Your choice

Scroll down and search. Graph team is autistic and didn't categorize by subgraph size, So you get some of the most used subgraphs demanding a targeted search.

But if they pay in ETH or DAI, the projects using the graph don’t have to market buy GRT like OP says. Correct?

>> No.24589229

>>24589037
Will have the same effect. Consumers can pay in ETH/DAI, this will be converted into GRT (through a dex e.g.) to settle the transaction. So GRT tokens are still market bought in the end.

This project will go exactly the same way as unn will and all the usual pnds
Early investors will make money dumping heavy bags on newbs who didn't get in early. May be worth buying in after the price crash on listing

I can tell you're dumb pleb that will lose all your money on some uniswap scam. And I didn't even buy the sale but consider buying iou and 100% will buy on binance when it listed there

>> No.24590794

>>24590592
what do you mean by early buyers? Only public sale tokens will be circulating for the first 6 months, even the tokens curators and indexers earned during the testnet will be locked for the first 6-12 months.

The sell volume of GRT should be so small that even if we assume x33 ICO price (1$) and that every single Graph holder will market sell, we still get only 400M usd, This is the daily volume of some of the top 15 projects.

And this time is different tho, You can't compare Graph case to any ICO in the past year or desu any ICO ever, It already has real use cases and real massive demand not only from traders/speculative investors but from huge amount of developers and projects.

>> No.24590935

>>24590794
I'm curious what the initial demand will be for GRT from users to settle queries on subgraphs. When full network launch happens these 3rd party projects will have to pay to use subgraphs and I'm just speculating on what the initial cost will be arranged between Graph and these users

>> No.24591172

>>24590935
The only comparable project on the market right now is Chainlink (both huge adoption and blockchain agnostic). So probably a similar valuation

>> No.24591479

>>24590935
No information about fees price so far. Graph team said they're communicating with projects about it, I'm sure they'll reach "Agreement".

Many projects (At least the big ones) are part of the indexer/curator program, So they clearly see the value of the network long term. Most of the demand will not change or likely even increase (compared to rightnow) as Graph network keep increasing in frightening pace, New projects will fill the gap of the minority that stop using it due to fees.
