I’m thinking about making a website which would let people predict the price of any asset over a period of time by just drawing their prediction of the price curve, and then averaging all the curves to get a community prediction and displaying that on top of the real price chart. Would you guys use a site like that?

If you’re interested, here’s a discord server I just made to get feedback on the idea: discord (dot) gg (slash) CkefPr2pMR

Did you really take my idea I floated here a few days ago? I literally don't give a shit since I'm likely years away from actually doing it if I ever do decide.

In case not then my idea was more about putting people's predictions for anything including crypto, sports, politics, redpills, conspiracies, etc. on the blockchain and then show rankings and then the person who is predicted correctly can get tipped or receive some fees, I dunno haven't fleshed it out but the point is it aggregates user predictions. And it will allow you to use bots too so if you can randomly just make a bot that makes picks and it gets on a nice random luck run then ppl have to pay to see the predictions, bla bla bla, I dunno.

Anyways I like your idea but the reason why my idea involves putting this on-chain is because no one is gonna believe your site's predictions until your site gets some kind of authority/success. At least if the predictions were verifiable onchain then you don't need any authority/reputation/etc. as the proof would be in the pudding.

Hey, as long as I have something in it for me. I'll use it. Bonus points if I can get awarded free tokens if I submit accurate predictions.

I think it's a great idea and it'd be an interesting experiment in crowd sourcing market predictions rather than relying on (((experts))). The block chain thing from the other anon is a good idea

I’m open to any suggestions on incentivizing people to use the site and make predictions, maybe leave an address with your suggestion so I can tip the people whose suggestions get used

That's a huge improvement from asking in threads. Perhaps it could be integrated with Tradingview, Augur, Numeraire, betting...
