Are any of you guys trade crypto? I mean legitimate trading using TA and all this shit (not just investing in shitcoins and praying that they will moon).

I'm following a lot of traders on crypto (SalsaTekila, CryptoCred etc) but still can't figure out how profitable trading can be in comparison with investing and do this guys really make consistent profits or just gambling)

I watched everything, every tutorial, read about every tool you could possibly use and then combined it all to build my own strategy and indicator.
I experimented a lot too, made some losses and didnt win every trade but eventually I figured out how to adjust for that.

I'm learning, but I only trade stocks. Crypto is too much stress and I just hodl my crypto portfolio.

Been trading for a couple of months, portfolio of £12k roughly.
Was up overall £900 last week and now £260, made some bad trades this week, sold the bottom of some stocks below support because I didn't stick to the 2 day rule.

Yes I trade for a living, when I was new to it I was doing it in my freetime after I was done with my regular wagecuck job.
Later I dropped the job and traded fulltime. Investing some of my profits into Chainlink turned out to be my best move.

>Which coins do you usually trade?
I can trade anything, most important is that my checklist checks out.
Basically when I see a good trade I get in doesnt matter what coin.

>Also, can you give some hints on what do and what not to do to become profitable?
The most important thing is that you figure it out on your own, you need to be able to do your own research.
Its the only way to actually get anywhere with that.

No, you're right. It's good to put your stop-loss at whatever risk you want to trade. It's better not to risk more than 2% of what you have. As the guy said in the Link swing video, you could put your stop-loss at the most recent bottom. But like with all things, sometimes you're lucky, sometimes you're not. My position once dumped hard below the stop-loss and recovered quickly right after that. Quite unlucky knowing I could have set it lower. But the point is to be sure with your trade and roll with it. Better luck next time in this case.

If you have a large account, have taken time to learn how to trade and have had experience in day trading then it's pretty much impossible to be unprofitable. You'd have to make some very egregious mistakes which you won't because of the three things I just mentioned. If you're a poorfag then you'll just be fish chum for whales because you'll be making a ton of mistakes due to fear of losing what little money you have or due to greed.

Trading is only profitable if your account is >10k. Below that, bagholding any losses would be the best strategy. Also, leveraging is not recommended. You can burn 10x more if you're on leverage. Trading is okay-ish on spot (buy low, sell high), but like I said, you can only see profits if you're trading like a big balance. But it all depends on your strategy; whether to swing trade, scalping, or anything. You just have to have that huge amount of patience.

Also, "see money, take money".

op, research position size and risk/reward ratios to set take profit and stop loss accordingly. that way leverage or no leverage, you are making the same trades, just depends on how much of your own collateral you're putting up

I believe it all depends on what you're holding. For example; if you were not able to exit when some of the stocks dumped, due to the wuflu, holding on the way back up, to minimize losses, would probably be a good way to go.
Just my opinion.

>Volume
>Ichimoku Clouds
The clouds are a meme, but almost seem like a self fulfilling prophecy if you follow the actions of price with respect to cloud over the last bull runs.
Denying volume has any impact would make you a full on retard.
Every single other thing has been basically pure degen gambling. These dumb fuck twitter accounts you follow are pure LARPs. Anyone read the book "fooled by randomness"?

>> No.24548593

>>24548271
The reality is, should some truly good fundamental analysis (news, rumours) come into place, everything to do with TA collapses. If hypothetically tomorrow the network crashed, TA could not predict this. All of TA is to look at trends, and maybe at best what will happen after a big move. It will not predict the big move itself. These big changes that occur do not wait for some magical patterns to happen, or for some MA's to cross each other.
Now, EMA, MACD, RSI, Bollinger Bands, whatever suits you, will literally just tell you historical pricing. Like >>24548134 says, it is literally astrology for finance.
When it comes to Ichimoku clouds, I accept this too. However, historically it has been a good indicator when you look at the big moves, some small tweeks and it might suit you very well. My current reasoning for a correction to 14k is that historically throughout a bullrun start, we see the prices bounce off the top end of the cloud before beginning its run, which may coincide with the fact that the market is trying to scare off investors before the big run. Really look at volume if you want to "fully rely" on something, but you should never ever fully rely on any indicator. That being said, look at how the full indicator of the clouds is interpreted, I have found it to have worked historically.

This is using literally just the 2017 run as an example, but if you look back at 2014 and even the small pumps in between, it follows the logic I stated before. Again, this is basically astrology, but it has followed this pattern. Take from it what you want.

I think swing trading is legit assuming you hold a position for several days to weeks or month(s).

You basically have to be autistic and constantly read any news, rumours and SEC forms or summarizations of them regarding stocks/cryptos you want to hold for the short term and ride out the hype.
Hope those rumours or your predictions turn out to be true and you'll make money.
