I heard that the industry is under-going a boom right now because of lockdowns. Is Magic any profitable? Most of the talk has been around Pokemon cards.

How do you play cards if you have to be 6ft away retard

Online. You can play card games online. That's not where the value of cards come from, though. It's all about buying and trading.

You missed the train retard. You're only winning big if you heavily invested before the hype went up. The only long term investments still worth doing are boxes of the early sets for any of the big three games or any of the big cards from magic's original sets. Pokemon boxes will especially go up in the long term due to the sheer amount of retarded people opening up extremely rare boxes up for youtube views right now. Though keep in mind this is only really worth it if you have a lot of cash to sling, have a lot of social clout (see logan paul and pokemon cards), or you got into it early and held.

Lol, the hype for pokemon was literally because the Paul brothers decided to get into it for like a month, it's already dying, you have 2 major markets to sell your cards to: Collectors and people who actually play the TCG, Good look pulling any of the cards Collectors actually want, and have fun sending it into a grading company who's going to take you to the cleaners. People who actually play the game: Doubt they'll want to pay a 100 premium on your card because its the shiny version of a card they need, which is going to fall out of the meta in a year anyways. My roommate has unironically dropped 1000 into Pokemon card boxes and I think he's at a value of 500 for the cards, he plans to send in a big binder of cards to a grading company then selling, except who the fucks going to buy it? Have fun selling it all to a grading company that will pay you the lowest they reasonably can or spending 5 years selling each card individually. This pokemon fads the dumbest shit I've seen.

The fuck you talking about
I’ve been grading cards for cheap. About $12 a card. Which if my card comes back a 9 or 10 makes my profit 5-10x. People are still buying. I know because I sell on eBay and Facebook market place and get tons of offers.

That's fucking horrendous when you dump 1000 dollars in, and the cards you're hoping are your money makers total out 500. Grats on profiting bud.
