Why do people call card collecting a hobby? It's literally just an investment like any other.

All calling it a hobby does is trigger the actual hobbyists (i.e; players) within TCGs, and make it so other investors don't take cards as seriously as they should. Literally all people need to do is stop calling it a hobby and start calling it what it is; an investment, then the real hobbyists stop whining, and outside investors like people here on /biz/ start taking cards more seriously.

Collectibles Guru has the right idea.

Being creepy rudy and worrying about climate controlled storage in a hurricane zone so your literal cardboard doesn't -75% overnight has got to be a special kind of hell.
