When you buy Gold, you are still in the market. When the market crashes and you wanna pick up cheapies, what good is a gold postion when it dumps with the market (which it does every correction/crash). I know in the weeks following it moons, but thats no good then, because stocks will have recovered.

Cash is King for a reason during certain scenarios. Because its value increases in the above scenarios due to increase purchasing power (cheapies)

Gold as a long term hold is still questionable, I'd still take stock even in a deflationary envioment.

I work at Boeing and everyone here knew to buy before it was green light to fly again. Lots of people took out their 401k's last week and used the cares act to bypass penalties. Boeing is an empty shell in the commercial side atm. We went from 52 planes to 4 a month currently. More layoffs coming because the 787 is being moved to south Carolina at 9 planes a month. That is their maximum rate and Boeing sees nothing being ramped up for 3-4 years. Currently it is all hopium boosting up their stock.
