I paint fire hydrants. It's actually a big business. You need to be certified to paint emergency utilities therefore not a lot of people end up doing it. I get paid to fly around the country and paint all sorts of fire hydrants. Hotels, air tickets, and travel is all paid for. One day they had a fire hydrant installed in the Bronx and there was a fire. Except they couldn't legally use the fire hydrant as it had not been painted yet. They rushed me out there in a cruiser to paint it as fast as possible so the fire fighters could get to their job and put out the fire. I paint fast too, half of the building was still standing by the time I was finished. It's a crazy job but it pays well plus I enjoy helping the community.
