I have very low electricity cost where I live ($0.08/kw). I'm thinking of investing around $5000 into GPUs and mine Ethereum + other coins.
Is there anything that could go wrong with this investment? I researched for hours and found out that the GPUs will last for many many years at 70-75% usage + good cooling.

it's more profitable to just buy eth with that 5k

There are no good gpu mined coins other than Ethereum. Invest in CPUs instead and mine Monero

Sell it in bulk to concrete factories or nearest farmers.
Pay rent with that money.
Profit.

Mining crypto is as unprofitable that even the largest crypto miners, make their money from lending their machines to enthusiasts. (Retards)

Just google “cloud mining.”

It’s better if you invest those $5K in De-Fi tokens like $COMP, $YFI or $UNI.

Move them to a hardware wallet and stake them in the highest yield protocol available.

When I run the numbers the results I get are that I'll break even after 8-12 months. Why do you think it's unprofitable? Everything after that time will be pure profit. Am I missing something?

almost always it pays off better in the short term to just spend that 5000 in actual crypto instead of spending money just trying to mine that same amount of crypto
