I know a guy that works from home without a degree. He started at some place that assembled some small metal shit. He applied for a higher position in the financial department doing exel shit or something, again no degree required. Then the chinese virus happened and now hes forced to work from home. He goes in once a month to help clean the office and check on the work computers as theyre always on.

Good luck trying to find a job in this environment. I live in a fairly tech-heavy area (nothing like SF or Austin), and people are only hiring very skilled senior level engineers right now. Even received a couple emails from places that had so many applicants they closed the listing for the position early.
