etsy traffic is easy traffic theoretically, but like amazon you have to compete with tons of other people doing the same thing with little to differentiate yourself

shopify allows you to be way more controlled with how you grow your revenue because you can run ads, track performance, do email marketing etc. Customer data is king

If you're in this for the long haul, go shopify. Otherwise you could test the waters with Etsy, or whip up a quick shopify site and spend a little on google ads
