Lmao no one is transitioning to electric anytime soon. Teslas are shitty that have a higher cost per mile than combustible. You're not going to see anything without some kind of government mandate.

Certainly not by buying Tesla. Every future car in the world could be a Tesla and they still would not be worth as much as their marketcap implies.

Best way is probably to broadly invest in other car companies that are making good progress with EVs, like Nissan, VW, and a bunch of others, while also shorting companies that are not, like Toyota.

Does a shorted stock actually indicate that it will fail? If a stock is overshorted and the stock keeps rising won't a lot of people be forced to close their stock position involuntarily, i.e. buy at a higher price, to cut losses? Seems to me it would only drive the price up. Many people burnt their fingers trying to short Tesla. Not a shill I don't even own Tesla stocks but I have listened to financial podcasts for years and I always hear about Investors saying it makes no sense that Tesla is valued so highly and short it only to be forced to close their positions with loses because it just keeps going up.

Feel free to educate me though

I already more than doubled my money on ALB. Sold half and I’m writing the rest. Just put a big position in MP materials. Now that CNBC is shilling MP to boomers I expect it to go up 4 to 5X in the next six months. Boomers love a nice feel-good green domestic tech story

it's called a short squeeze. basically what has happened, and possibly (im not up to date here...) is happening with Tesla.

OK, so that's basically what I'm saying? Shorting a stock everyone shorts creates many forced buy positions and if the price goes up they eventually have to close their positions and buy at even higher prices? So a stock that has too many shorts is actually an indication it will go even further up?

Tesla is a means for oligarchs to isolate and control-burn the renewable energy market. Elon Musk is an actor. Oldest trick in the book. Kinda adds insult to injury to name the company after the man himself. But I am quite certain this post will age like the finest wine.
