Ive asked myself that a lot. My parents expect great things from me but have never been able to bestow me with any practical wisdom aside from generic boomer platitudes. This is a null question, my parents were each set up to fail by their respective parents, who were born and raised just after the depression, giving them a very skewed view of the world and how to operate. We're born and living in the crux of the age where we can see the entire world for what it is, and adapt as such.

Based. But self realization is the first necessary step. You're already one step in the right direction. For me it was being constantly told that i was "special" in a positive way, like the little prince. I developed underlying arrogance and poor social skills, became manipulative and hurt some people especially women emotionally to the limit. Ended up with zero friends.
