I want to talk to you guys about something cause I don't know who to ask. I want some fellow schizos to give me some advice. I have smoked weed nearly daily for nearly two years now. Not until this summer did I start noticing I was having breathing issues. I was also beginning to sit at a computer chair much more often at that time. By "breathing issues" it just feels like I have something resisting my airway, but it seems to only get worse the more I think about it. I also occasionally have cracking come from my ribs/back. For a while I thought I had costochondritis but it seems like the pain/resistance is mostly unrelated to the chest/back cracking. I think it might just be hypochondria because I've been thinking about it a lot. The back issues seem to get worse if I think about them/adjust my back more often. The trouble breathing also seems to get worse when I adjust/crack my back more often.

What do you guys think? Should I take a break from weed or should I just try to think this away? I'm about 90% sure it is anxiety (which I've dealt with for much longer than I've smoked weed) and this just happens to be my current fixation. Any advice would be appreciated. I should also mention that I hardly even feel it if I'm not paying attention to it and I can work out without feeling it (aside from me just being less in shape).

Start taking regular walks and the feeling will go away fairly quickly.

My friend, this is hardly the place to ask for this sort of advice. Personally I only alter my mind with substances on rare occasion anymore. I used to drink quite a bit to deal with my crippling empathy but I eventually found a usage for my empathy through my favorite hobby, which is photography. That is no longer a path for me any longer due to COVID-19 and how it has changed people's behavior by making it less freely human in nature. I am returning to astrophotography soon to try to branch out into what I find to be calming.

I am telling this story of myself to help convey that there are many ways to deal with the emotions that we experience but there are only often very specific things one should do that are unique to one's own life. You will need to explore what you can do internally to help your anxiety rather than hide it with external methods. Do not fear letting go of substance. You are a powerful being. You should also seek medical attention, if anything just a check up to perhaps convey some important knowledge.

Your ribs have like a web around them, so the your skin can slip across it. When you are dehydrated or sick it can kinda stick when you move, creating a crack sound.
Everything else sounds like anxiety. I deal with it as well. You can't think it away, you need to get more exercise and drink more water. Go out during the day. Vitamin D helps with anxiety. Work yourself up to where you can jog.. As you hydrate better, and you get more exercise the anxiety will go away along with the cracking.
