Not at a garage sale, but at a junk store. Found a old autobiography written by golfer Jack Nicklaus, autographed as a gift to his parents. Might be worth somethin'.

I do this with coins. Not as a way to get rich or anything but, as something for fun and I gain a bit on the side. You can find stuff at garage sales sometimes but markets are best for this, usually there will be some guy with a massive tin or loose coins selling them for 50 cents each. I bought a specific type of American penny worth around 45 dollars for less than a dollar like this

Also based Australian calling it a garage sale instead of a "yard sale"
